The GER is a living standard. Versioned releases are archived on Zenodo. Each release lists what was added, refined, or retired.

v0.2 (forthcoming)

Codes: 71 total (up from 27 in v0.1). Added:
  • The multi-agent cluster: GER-330, 332, 335, 336, 337, 338, 339, 340, 341, 345, 347, 348, 349, 351 (covering coordination, role drift, anchoring failures, intent mutation, schema mismatch, open-loop execution)
  • The clinical AI cluster: GER-432 (Reality-Testing Erosion), GER-433 (Therapeutic Alliance Breakdown), GER-437 (Emergency Triage Acuity Underestimation), GER-344 (Developmental Cognitive Atrophy)
  • The consent and biometric cluster: GER-324 (Consent-Bypassed Biometric Collection), GER-329 (Training-Data Consent Bypass), GER-346 (Digital Colonialism / Sovereignty Violation)
  • The bias precision cluster: GER-342 (Alignment-Induced Asymmetric Bias), GER-343 (Implicit-Explicit Moral Discontinuity)
  • The provenance and synthetic-substrate cluster: GER-322 (Provenance Omission), GER-325 (Knowledge-Commons Contamination), GER-326 (Cross-Surface Inference Leak), GER-327 (Synthetic-Substrate Substitution)
  • Vendor and lifecycle: GER-431 (Vendor Update Without Validation Gate), GER-333 (Rule Update Non-Propagation), GER-334 (Rule Lifecycle Tracking Failure)
  • Architecture and reliability: GER-434 (Compound Reliability Decay), GER-435 (Inter-Agent Prompt Injection Propagation), GER-436 (Multi-Agent Over-Architecture)
  • Operator/platform: GER-422 (Capability Overstatement), GER-423 (Recommender Optimization Override), GER-424 (Punitive Automation Without Adjudication), GER-425 (Identity-Binding Bypass), GER-426 (Agentic Authority Overreach)
  • Translation and policy: GER-352 (Lost in Translation)
Refined (existing v0.1 codes with sub-type taxonomies added):
  • GER-307 Rule Activation Failure — five sub-types (awareness gap, pattern-matching failure, workflow gap, discretion structure, cross-handoff drop)
  • GER-313 Influence Drift, GER-314 Authority Drift — surface vs. architecture distinction sharpened
  • GER-322 Provenance Omission — token-level + retrieval-integrity sub-types
  • GER-328 Validator Drift / Sycophancy Loop — general vs. psychiatric-vulnerability sub-types
  • GER-427 Recursive Agentic Loop — six sub-mechanisms (infinite tool-call, plan-execute oscillation, sub-agent recursion, context-window thrash, hallucinated tool arguments, silent budget burn)
Methodology change: Both classes of codes now made explicit — IANA-aligned codes (matching HTTP semantics) vs Namespace-Claim codes (occupying unassigned HTTP slots, following Cloudflare/Twilio/nginx convention). Attributions updated with the v0.2 contributor roster.

v0.1 (April 27, 2026)
